I am a 19 year old university student and I I went into business with someone and was supposed to pay ksh 500,000 but only paid ksh 250,000 and refused to pay the remaining ksh 250,000 because the supplier did not deliver on everything as earlier agreed he later took me to court and since I was unable to prove that he hadn’t brought everything as earlier agreed the judge entered a judgment against me and ruled that I pay the 250k within the next 30 days after which i contacted the claimant and explained to him that I am genuinely unable to pay the money at the moment because I depend on event planning to raise money as I am not employed and have no assets. I went ahead and did another event which did not report profits but resulted in losses rendering me unable to pay the claimant and now the claimant and even informed the claimant’s lawyer about this in a letter and now he  is threatening to get me imprisoned can he do so? And if so how can I avoid imprisonment?
